clutch dog replacement

i have a 2009 4hp nissan 4 stroke converted to a 6 hp, under full throttle it,s popping in and out of gear and i believe is the clutch dog. how difficult is this to replace. need some advice thanks
 
First verify that the linkage is properly adjusted. If needed... in order to replace the dog (hopefully the ears on the gears are OK), you pull the prop shaft housing out (don't lose the push rod), and remove the pin that retains all the parts on the shaft.
