I have a 2013 90 HP Yamaha with a 30" transom but I need to shorten it to 24" by removing the 5" extension. Are the drive shaft and shift linkage interchangeable to be used from the 30" transom (with the extension) to the 24" transom (with the 5" extension removed) without replacing either or both? I do not have the bottom dismantled and would like to know before doing so. Hope you can help.
