Trim gauge not working

I Have a 1992 Galaxie 19 ft deck boat tri gauge does no show trim position. It moves slightly when key is turned on then nothing. bad gauge, wiring ?
 
bad or corroded ground possibly. Check your ground first. That's usually the culprit. Otherwise, these trim gauges have been known to be less than "optimal" on most OMC stern drives.
 
The sending units do not last that long although I have found that the Sierra aftermarket ones lasted longer than the OEM ones which are NLA any way.
