tried to show wife how good the boat ran

Well as the story goes I purchased a boat (1984 Yar Craft) had been sitting 7 years in a garage. 1984 johnson. had carbs rebuilt and I lake tested it and it was great. Took wife to show her how well it ran and could not get away from the pier. Took it home and removed cover, started on hose. water hose in rear had slipped off and flooded the cover, fuel line to bottom carb split so water and gas everywhere. So off to get gas hose clamps for hose and water line and try again. I already replaced several gas lines ,should have replaced all. She was not impressed

you are not alone. just be glad that it happened at the dock !!

took my starting battery back to store. 3 weeks old and no good. walmart replaced it. fuel lines replaced and water line replaced. ready to go again, alone this time.

tell the wife to go shopping, bring a bud and have some fun !! (less stress)
