New Boat Ower, well, mew to me! Please help

My husband purchased a Lowe's fishing boat (2004). He knew when he bought it that the lower unit in the Johnson 50HP was bad. The last guy hit a log. My question is this...where can I buy one? What other brands can be used on it? We aren't engine people, but if I find one, a boat shop will put it on. Can anyone help me?
 
Others have suggested e-bay but you will need the exact model number of the engine; also check out marine salvage yards near your location again with your model number. Good luck. Those units are model and brand specific.
