i just bought the bought yesterday for a really cheap price. it has been winterized since fall of 2013. i hooked up the hoses yesterday and tried starting it with a truck battery (12v 950 cca) it would turn very slowly but wouldnt fire. it started to smoke from the back of the engine a little bit and the battery cables got really hot. the boat is wired to use two batteries could that be the problem? too much drain on the cables using one battery could that have caused the smoke? i need help on getting this thing started please! it seems to have been winterized correctly or so i hope. im praying this baby starts right up! then i can complete her.
