help. in the middle of engine replacement

I have a 4.3 that I am in the middle of replacing. I have my new block and heads. Most everything is removed from the old motor. I have a garage with a hoist. My question is how do I actually remove the motor? Does the out drive need to be removed first? Sounds silly I know but this is my first boat motor. I have done many cars but it's new to me. Thanks for and info or links in advance!
 
I would post this on the Mercruiser Forum on this site. Go to the top of this page. On the left, click on "Forum Home" then scroll down to the Mercruiser Forum, and click on that.
 
pull the drive....remove the mounting bolts at the inner transom plate and forward mount and hook the chain up... assuming the electric and fuel and hose are all disconnected...
