PCM 351 fuel consumption much higher after refurbishing

Hi
During winter i put a new petrol tank, hoses, refurbished holley carb gaskets.

Runs OK, but very high fuel consumption and exhaust smells like petrol.

Any ideas?

"...refurbished holley carb gaskets." - if this means disassemble the carb, I'd start there....make sure ALL the parts went back in correctly....I'd also chack the fuel pump to make sure the diaphragm hasn't ruptured - it can cause flooding-like symptoms. If they all check out, inspecting the ignition (especially timing advance) would be next...
