Depth finder problem

Don't know if I have the right forum for this but here goes. I have a hummingbird fish/depth finder. It's a small cheaper one. When I'm just cruising under 15 mph the depth and temp numbers are correct, but when I get going on plane and in a little rough water the numbers are crazy. If I'm in 25' of water it will say 450, fish will show 120' and then sometimes it will say 0. As soon as I slow down say under 15mph everything goes back to normal. Is there a problem with the unit or is the transducer screwed up. Thanks-Russ

Ayuh,.... My guess is, the transducer ain't seein' clear water,.....

Bubbles from disturbed water makes 'em go crazy,...

Would there be a way to adjust the transducer to read correctly all the time or is this just the nature of the animal?

there's no "adjustment" if you are looking for a button or a knob...

Look at how the transducer is mounted (and where) and see if it complies with the directions....I'd bet it don't.

only way you can do what you want , is to us a "though hull" transducer", and those are only compatible with your more expensive models.
