Blew out a spark plug

I have a 4.3 l V6 Alpha Mercruiser. Front left plug was not hooked up. I hooked up and went to test since it was missing yesterday. The boat started right up and ran great. Little rich, but was good. Went full throttle for about 300 feet. Stopped. Went to go again and got up to about 3800 RMP's and the spark plug (Champion RV8C) Blew out from the base to the top right at the seam. Limped boat back with an open cylinder. What is my next step? We just bought this boat and have had it out a few times.

Agree AC over Champion always. If it's an old engine get a spark plug thread chaser and chase the threads to clean them before installing new plugs. Add some grease to the thread chaser to catch any trash. I blow compressed air around the plug after breaking it loose then remove it.
