OMC Tach setting

I am installing a vintage OMC tach on my Whaler. My engine in an Evinrude 90 w 6 pulses. The tach uses a jumper wire with options of #2, #3 and #4. I'm trying to find which setting is correct for my engine. I've attached a pic of the backside of the tach. Thanks.

If the manufacture of the tach is still in business, you could try contacting him.

I called the service number, they don't help pre 96 issues. Still stuck...

That Sucks !! The only thing I could suggest is to take that small jumper wire you see on the back side between the different terminals and try it on other ones.

Agree with Boobie jump the 4 and 2 together to get a 6 see if that works. Good luck

I jumped 2,3 and 4 and it seems to work, thanks for the advice. Is it possible for me to turn 6K RPMs w a 19" prop?
