Battery Cell Low Water

My battery is about 8 months old and keep it on a maintainer charger and check the water about every month. Noticed the last two checks that the water level is not visible on the cell next to the negative post.

There is a Perko switch on the battery lead and it stays off.

The engine, 130 ETEC, hasn't been used much since September.

Any ideas if there is a problem with the batt?

i would check/monitor the maintainer to make sure the battery is not getting overcharged. if not......possibly a small case crack. myself, since the battery is fresh and under warranty, fill the cells with water, charge on a regular charger for about an hour, then take it, with the warranty papers to the place you bought it from and have it load tested. the plates in a battery do not like to be exposed to atmosphere. when that happens, the plates degrade quickly.
