drive belt part number wanted.

Hello all:


Having issue with the drive belts on my circa 1989 360's. Want to stick with the gated family of belts they seem to be very robust. Not sure if I need the 7425, 7430 or the 7435. Anyone using a well fitting belt with a valid part number i can cross reference please advise.

If the old one isn't totally shot, a good auto parts store can match it up with their belt measuring rig.

its possible my alternator pulley is not standard anymore. Cause I have what I think is the orginal belt and its at the limit of travel on the bracket. I've ordered gates 7430 and 7425, I'll go with the one which gives me some adjustment for stretch. On an additional note i've changed the raw water pump a while back and now seems the pulleys are a bit out of alignment.
 
I have 318s and the belts were originally 7450 to the Sherwood water pump and 7435 to the alternator. I changed the Sherwood pump belt to a 7440 to bring it back to the middle of the adjustment bracket. This also took most of the misalignment out.
