My 1984 25xd 2-stroke will not crank after sitting in the lake overnight. It is elec start and a pull start. The elec starter wont turn it over. The pull cord is very difficult to turn, but it will. If i pull on the cord to get the engine to turn over 10 or 15 revolutions, the engine will then start and run fine. If i shut it down for a few hours, it will also crank and start up just fine. But every time it sits for an overnight, the cranking issue is back.
If i disconnect the fuel line and run the carb dry, i can let it sit and it will crank over easily and start if i reconnect the fuel line. I rebuilt the carb and the issue is still present. Thanks for any help!
