How to mix gas

Dear Forum, Can someone tell me what the correct gas and oil mixture is for my 3.5hp Mercury 2 cycle outboard? It is a 1984 outboard. Would it be ok to use Stihl 2 cycle oil? I know some of the older motors call for using a chainsaw type 2 cycle oil. Is the fuel mixture 50:1, just not sure and I cannot find it in my Seloc manual. Please advise. Thank you.
 
TCW3 is used in "water cooled" outboards.

2 cycle oil such as used in lawnmowers and chainsaws is fine in older outboards that are either "entirely" air-cooled or only have water cooled exhausts.

TCW3 will "burn up" completely (as designed) in the cooler running water cooled engines whereas regular 2 cycle oil (might) cause significant fouling. So while the (regular) oil would work in a pinch, it's not the best for long term usage.
