I had to get a new trim motor, Taiwan. What is the best way to seal the motor/reservoir to the valve body? Just the o ring dry? O ring and RV sealant? Ideas?

Ok. so since I replaced the trim motor, I have been tripping the trim motor breaker every now and then. This can really suck, because if it trips in the up position, I can't get the engine cover off to reset the breaker because its too close to the fiberglass of the boat. I assume the new motor is "peppy" and strong and is taxing the original breaker. Do these breakers get tired after 27 years? Just making sure before I buy a new one...Thanks

Sounds like a poor connection?
Maybe a bad wire end?
Corrosion under a connection?

Try swapping the wiring around and see if you can get it to trip on the down stroke.
They usually draw more going up?
Clean the connections in the switch. Is the up/down switch strong enough or heavy enough to handle the draw?
Just any 3 position switch might be too light to use.
