Hi All,
I'm new to boating and recently inherited a Mariner 40hp 2-stroke outboard. I have no owners manual or servce manual. From the searching I have done online I have determined that the motor was built in 1991 and is Yamaha made (as per serial # below).
I understand that the oil/fuel mixture is 50:1 for this model. Will any TC-W3 oil suffice or is there a preferred oil for this motor? The motor is in great shape and I want to extend it's life as much as possible.
Also, is there a preferred service manual for this specific motor? Which manual would you recommend?
Thanks,
