Vro2 pump conversion to standard pump

I am new to Evinrude and Johnson motors so some assistance would be great. I have a 1992 150hp Intruder Spitfire. Currently the engine runs at rough idle and will accelerate to 3400 rpms. After a few mins. the engine slows and dies out. The previous owner had the oil line capped and is using pre-mix 50:1. The engine will continue to run if the bulb is pumped. Temps are within range, compression is good on all 6, plugs clean and good spark.

Current Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Replaced all fuel lines
2. Replaced anti siphon
3. Removed tank selector switch from equation
4. Replace bulb

I suspect the fuel pump and can either rebuild or go the conversion route if available.

any help would be appreciated.

First pull the pump apart for inspection.---------They are elegantly easy to inspect and repair.---------Inspect air motor piston and the fuel piston parts.----Leave oil side be.

Just visit the dealer with the credit card.----easy to do.---The non mixing VRO replacement is easy to install.----Just a bit more expensive than inspecting / repairing the existing pump.
