Hello everyone, I have been cleaning up and re-arraigning my boat and came up with a question. I have installed a plug on my motor cable, so I am not plugging directly into the battery. Does it matter if the red is connected to red? The plug does not show red or black, so I am wondering. Thanks.

yes it does..polarity on a dc motor has to be correct..the color of the wire dont matter so long as plus to plus etc...
 
papyson, I thought that was correct. I am going to pull it apart and recheck everything. When I created it, the motor would run if I connected it straight to the battery either way. Red to black and vice versa. I just don't want to damage the motor, so this is why I asked. Thanks for the confirmation.
