I'm working on a 90 hp Mercury that has sat for quite a while. The fuel had varnished in the tank, vst, and lines. I changed the two inline filters, spark plugs, and drained the tank and added fresh fuel with stabilizer. Turned the key and heard pump run before trying to start it. No joy! Turns over fine but does not fire. Is there a way to flush everything without taking every fuel component off? Checking the computer diagnostic also indicates Guardian is active but unspecified cause.
