water drive shaft seal 135 hp

im having difficulty removing the water seal that the drive shaft slides thru on upper housing

the shaft from lower unit goes thru it
any one had the issue?

its the bushing in the extension case
that keeps shaft from vibrating
can i remove the bushing with a puller without removing the. Extension case?
 
yes you can do it,first remove the lock and washer then you can pull,if the bush is damage,it is easy to remove, inner part is copper and outer is rubber.

i never use puller to pull this coz all the time bushes were damage, but i think small bearing puller with sliding hammer could use.
