Need help identifying the purpose of this wire. Standing behind the engine, approx 6 AWG wire branches off to two solid red wires that connect to the engine fuse block. Other end is, and has been as long as I've owned it, coiled up and unattached in the battery compartment. Looks like it should run to ground, but I'm not sure. I'm assuming it's a ground. The wire casing is soft black rubber. As far as I can tell, entire length is rotten and hasn't been connected in quite some time.
Should I replace it, or leave it?
