84 115 evinrude Trying to remove Water intake Screen???

hi i trying to pull the weeds that were stuck in the screen but the plastic is brital and since i have the lower half off i using long needle nose plyers to try to pull it out but it wont budge
is it glued in there? its not held in with that screw beside it is it?
as i tried pulling that screw out too and pulling the screen out but no didnt work
 
That screw holds the pinion bearing from moving due to oil pressure.-------Has nothing to do with the screen.-----------------The screen snaps into place and should not be glued.--------------Break that screen and get it out.------Push the replacement down( only goes one way ) and you are done.
 
oh ok thanks i put the screw back now.. so hopefully it didnt move inside then???

ah ok so i guessing there must be tabs i cant really see that hold that screen down. ok il lbreak it

thanks it worked out i banged both sides to break some plastic and i was able to pull it out now just gotta wait for replacement.. and now i got water pump question
