How to hook up honda BF75 (7.5) as a kicker motor to boat main fuel tank

Trying to hook up a BF75 (7.5) as a kicker motor for trolling. Want to t-off the main tank that feeds the inboard motor to run the outboard kicker.

What is best way to do this?

Do I need to put some sort of regulator to reduce the fuel presser from the inboard to protect the outboard and the outboard fuel pump?
 
You may get many answers on this, but this is my recommendation.

Plumb in a three way fuel valve, so that you can switch the tank feed to either motor (one at a time). That will completely isolate the motors from each other. Then you will have no problems.....other than remembering to switch the valve back when you switch to the other motor.

The only other things that you will need are three nipples to screw into the valve to connect the hoses.

It's so much easier and less complicated to run the auxiliary from a remote tank. Not sure about your reasons for doing this but....shutting down your main....going to the switching valve......then shutting down the kicker......then....going BACK to the switching valve......just seems like a lot of wasted motion.

And, if anything goes wrong in the main tank IE: fuel contamination...broken pickup tube....clogged vent....you will be left with TWO engines not running.

If you install a check valve in the fuel line to the inboard AFTER a "T" connection to your kicker, you shouldn't need a selector valve. The inherent anti-siphon aspect of the kicker's primer bulb along with the one way check valve to the main engine will supply either/or engine and would actually allow for both to run simultaneously. At Idle anyway.
