Distributor cap for Mercruiser 228....

Can anyone advise me as to where I could obtain a distributor cap for above engine, No. 4902956(not found). Cannot find any Numbers on distributor body but Service Manual shows the distributor to be a Mallory Part Numbers 74905A and 91823A(not found). Service Manual is Supplement to 90-71707. Thank you in advance for any info.

That model 228 was used from 1979-1984 in three different model groups (years of manufacture)

so what is the serial number of motor or year of boat/motor?

Engine Number is written in Manual as 4902956 but comes back as not known. I've been told that it is an early version probably 1979? I can't find any No. on the engine.
