Power drive V2 with I-pilot drains battery

I have been using this motor since 2011 and it has always been great on the battery. It would go all day and not use the whole charge. This year it has been draining the battery (new Optimax Blue) in 3-4 hours. Something else has happened this year, the spot lock comes on but goes crazy, as well as the cruise control feature. They both are spinning randomly and not performing as they are supposed to. I would like to know if someone out there has had similar problems, or knows what to do to fix this?? It is a Power Drive V2 with I-pilot. 55 lb thrust

Did you buy your v2 WITH the I-pilot or did u upgrade........just bought a 2010 Carolina skiff that has a v2 55# trolling motor and would like to have the co-pilot OR the I-pilot. Which way would you recommend?
