2000 Evinrude ficht fuel pump

I have a 2000 Evinrude Fitch and recently lost the high pressure fuel pump. All the research I've done says it takes a 5004429 for a replacement pump. But when I took the old one out today there was a 5004428 pump in it. Is there a difference? Does it matter which one I use?

Pump is not sold separately it is sold as pump and reservoir assy.....Make sure its not a PDP problem before dropping $600 on pump

I can't find those #s in the BRP parts break down. Where did you get them ??

The 5004428 was on the side of the hp pump and reservoir. The 5004429 is the p/n I get every time I research it. If you type those numbers in on this site they are both listed

Must have been replaced before as that # shows for a 2002 and up model...
