Port side. Cruising out of the harbor pushed the throttles from 800 rpms to 1500 rpms got a brief buzzsaw growl/vibration for about 2 seconds. Everytime I increased the rpms I would get a brief growl, buz, vibration from what appears to be the port transmission. Will have to remove the deck cover to expose the engines and trans and have my son work the throttles while I observe from down below. Twin 350's with Borg Warner transmissions, straight shafts. This trans was rebuitl 3 years ago.

I would agree with fastjeff.
I have BorgWarner with 454's.
I would also recommend have the shafts dialed in and props tuned.

Also, have seen engine movement on accel causing shaft movement against shaft log. Rotten stringers, worn engine mounts loose bolts.

2X on the worn mounts...the way the factory mounts are made, you can't see the wear but you can see the movement if the wear is excessive...The other thing I've seen is broken lag bolts and incorrectly sized lag bolts...If you have to replace them, use hot dipped galvanized, not S/S....stripped holes in the engine bed are a possibility too.
