Im putting my Honda bf30a together after a rebuild because the oil were mixed with water.
The engine is in top dead center (upper piston in top), but what about the pulley cam and flywheel?

I can see the pulley's marked with 1, 2 and 3, with a small arrow along with the mark 1.

Im sorry for the bad spelling, Im from Sweden, if thats an excuse:confused::p

If you have the number one piston at top dead center, there should be a small round mark on the crank (timing) pulley. It should align with an "I" mark on the block.

The T (arrow) on the cam pulley should align with the T (arrow) next to the pulley.

Put the belt on the crank pulley first....then around the cam pulley....then the tensioner pulley.

Make sure the marks are in alignment after you are finished.
