sorry for this newbie questions...
Are there any mechanical differences between the models 4JH2-HTE, DTE and UTE? The HTE has 76 hp, DTE 88 and the HTE 100 hp.
In the manual i have noticed only three differences:
1. a different turbocharger.
2. The HTE has Sea-water-cooled Plate fin type, DTE u. UTE a Sea-water-cooled Corrugated fin type. So more effective cooling surface.
3. By the UTE is noticed another pump, "Distribution-Type VE-HDI". Is that an electronic ESP? I think in this production series there was still no electronics in the Yanmar engines, right ?!
The replacement of the turbo brings fresh 12 HP more power from HTE and DTE? Thats all - nothing else?! I can't believe it...
I'm looking for the right engine for my displacement hull for a long time. Maybe I'll put me to a used 4JH2-HTE of 1993, which gave me too little HP. Therefore, the consideration it upgrade. If the "only" exchange is the turbo then i would considering to do that ...
