Hi everyone,
My first day on this forum, hopefully i can get some help. I have a 2005 5.0 mpi , my issues started after my brother was assisting me on un-winterizing my boat. He was installing the batteries and reverse connected one of the batteries cause a large spark. After getting it all ready test ran the boat in the driveway and it seemed to run normal. after launching the boat it ran great until i opened up the throttle, thats when i started having problems. It would run great up till about 3000rpm and then completely die like someone turned the key off. I changed the fuel relay and it still did the same thing. It seems like the ECM has been damaged but i wont a couple of opinions before i order a $1700 part. Any help would be greatly appreciated
