Ok, so I started to pull the ball gear from Intermediate housing shaft. What happened, the ball gear came off and left the splines. So I assume that the other end of the shaft is maybe rusted into the coupler. If that is highly likely what is the best way of removing the shaft. I want to see the shaft number, check the bearings, new seals and ball gear. I was thinking I would have to pull out the intermediate which of course will damage the transom seal. Once you start fixing **** it gets pricey doesn't it. Well I am having fun doing this too.....
