8 hp johnson seahorse

on a 8 hp johnson is there any clearence adjustment for the reed valves or do you just bolt them on?

mine are flat against the base, no gap,do i just bend the flap up until i get a gap at the tip? thanks frank

If they are laying flat with no light they are correct.----------And do not bend them to see light.------------Do not turn them over either.
