1984 Johnson V6 - Winterizing / Fogging

Lots of different opinions on this subject I guess, so I thought I would enlist the expertise of this forum.

Today I added a 16oz can of Sea Foam to the remaining non-ethanol fuel in my tank (about 10-12 gals). I started the motor (150hp VRO Johnson) and ran at idle for about 8 minutes. It idled a little rough at first and then smoothed out. It smoked pretty good and otherwise ran fine. I then drained the carbs. Some of my research leads me to believe that this is all I would need to do, while some insist that fogging is either still needed or would have been better instead of the fuel treatment.

Where I live it rarely gets below 20 degrees and we rarely see more than 8 inches of snow. When it does snow, it usually only hangs around for about a week or less. The boat will be stored under a carport with a tarp over it.

To fog or not to fog.....
Can I get some opinions?

Thanks.
