lenghting battery cable

can i lengthen my battery cable on my minnkota 40 troll motor and if so should i use the same size cable or can i use a lighter weight

You probably could lengthend it. Should stay
With the same gage wire tho.

You will need larger guage wire be sure and use tinned marine grade wire!
