Sailor 180 7.5 hp

Hi All
I have a sailor 180 7.5hp and can't find model plate etc
how can I determine model number without this.
I can see some numbers on a casing but that's about all
Any help would be appreciated

Some where on the block is a foundry stamp, usually in a circle.
The center of the circle will have the year it was cast.
They were usually used within a few months.
So if it says 77 it could be a 77 or 78
