I am restoring our 1985 21 ' Cobalt. Mercruiser 260hp Alpha I outdrive. Today I reinstalled the outdrive, after completion, the Shift/Throttle will not return to neutral, it is jammed at about 30% of full range
when I move it from full forward to the idle position. The Shift mechanism in the Outdrive I positioned in the key slot. Any Suggestions?
