Here is what a 13 year old 100 hour impeller looks like

Inherited this motor .. BF130 ... 13 years, 100 hours - fresh water
the inner portion is much stiffer, and of course it is permanently bent
I expected it to be far worse. It appears to be able to pump water well. The prior owner ran it with only a hose connected for backwash, so I expected it to be damaged from that as well.

The job of replacing it seems to be far easier than on non-Honda outboards

They all will do differently depending on:
amount of use.
water composition.
always started IN the water.
And I don't know this for a fact but it probably makes a difference if the engine is always run at less than full throttle.
I've seen them last over 6 years.
But, you have just broken that record by more than DOUBLE!
Sure wouldn't try it again though.

It was all the prior owner
all fresh water
Used 50 times
stored outside in the sun
last time was sitting for two years and then started out of water with hose connected to backwash and ran 5 minutes ( I thought for sure that would have killed it)
