Electrical_ Fuse issue

I'm new to old engines.
I have a 1972, Seventy-five Hustler
Seems I keep blowing fuses.
My "antique" came with 5 amp/250 volt fuse, coming off the "solenoid?"
(Sorry, can't figure out how to insert an image yet)

I can't find a "5" amp fuse in the electrical diagram in a manual.
Should it have a higher amp fuse? 20? 30 amp?

Racerone,
Thanks much for the advice, especially re the accessories. It looks like they are wired separately off the battery.
I did put in a 20 amp. It seems to run fine in the driveway.
Maybe Tuesday I can see if in runs in the water.

20 amp good. Not blowing fuses.
Water test... runs at lower and mid throttle. , Dies out at full throttle, but if I throttle way back it will keep running.
Im thinking, clean carbs?

Start with them, check or replace the fuel lines, after that it would be worth looking at the fuel pump. Sounds like it's not getting enough gas.

When you do the carbs, be sure to check the high speed jets in the float bowls of the carbs. They're under the plugs on the float bowls.

To all Responders to this thread..
THANKS much for some great fast advice for a newbee.
Unfortunately, I have no opportunity now to play with the my toy until mid-Nov.
Till later....
