I have 2 M225TI engines, the Bosch rotary injection pump on one engine was leaking, low sulfur fuel caused?

I removed that pump, took it to Diamond Diesel in Oakland, CA. They took it apart, replaced the seals and some parts. I replaced it and the engine runs well, no fuel leaks, no oil leaks, no coolant leaks.

The second engine had a security lock designed by Perkins-Sabre to be removed only by a Perkins dealer/mechanic. The security screw is a 5 lobe, center post, torx-like screw that is deeply recessed in the security bracket. The tool for removal had a 3 week delivery time from the UK and cost $89.

I found a source at Amazon for removing the screw, a kit of 12 sockets costs $21.92. The kit is:

Neiko 10073A Torx Bits Socket Set Tamper Prooft Security Type, 13-Piece

The size 45 of this set did the job.

You do not need a Perkins dealer/repairman to remove your injection pump.
