How do I know if I have a Hydro Electric or standard Electric shift in my 1971 50hp Evinrude Outboar

I have a 1971 Evinrude 50hp that was obtained to swap out for a bad motor. The original motor had a dual cable remote for shift and throttle. This motor only has connections for one cable. Research shows that it is probably an electric shift. I am finding remote controls but some are Hydro and some are not. How do I know which I need for this motor?

Model is 50173S with S# E15924

You need a control box with the big yellow plug for the wiring .-------That is the only box that is " plug and play " for this electric shift motor.-----That box was only offered for the 71 and 72 model 50 HP and for the 72 model 65 HP so it is somewhat rare.
 
It is a " hydro-electric " unit.------Johnson or Evinrude control box with YELLOW plug is needed.----Years are posted above.
