20HP or 30HP

I am about to buy a new Tohatsu and would like some advice.The boat is 17' open and is capable of taking 30HP but 20HP is all the power I really need but I prefer the fuel injection and 3 cylinders. My question is will this engine be OK if it is normally run at 1/4 to 1/2 throttle and only occasionally at full throttle ?
 
Yes. The MFS30B, being EFI will run "forever" at mid-throttle. The 3-cylinder motors are significantly smoother than anyone's 2-cylinder.
