Got a 2004 trophy with a 4.3 vortec and alpha one in it . At high rpm it starts to cut out . New cap and rotor ,tach unhooked need help
 
Wide open is never healthy for any length of time. Likely ignition system rev limiter cutting in. Save yourself a couple thousand in repairs and spend a few bucks on a tach and don't exceed RPMs printed on flame arrestor decal.
