I have an old 3hp Yam 2 stroke that is used perhaps once a year.
carb was rebuilt by a workshop in the past, choke was removed at some time.
Motor starts quickly, idles well, but applying full throttle has the motor struggling for about 20 seconds before it makes full power.
It sounds rich by my ear (deep low sound when struggling). I will need to buy a 3/4 inch long reach socket to check the plug.
It would be good to get it going its best as we have huge crocs here but boat and motor must be light as I put it up & down a small cliff.
Any ideas?
