I have a problem with my 5.7Mercrusier.
Cold start up - no problems, idle out of the marina and then accelerates well on to the plane, but over 4000rpm coughs and splutters. Drop back to 3800rpm and no problems.
After fishing for approx. 30mins, starts no problems, idle away and then accelerate and it stalls as if starving of fuel.
Leave it sit for 5mins and starts again, but still won't reach full rpm. This issue repeats all day long for every move.
Any thoughts....
