1979 40hp water in bottom cylinder

Thanks guys. It's getting close to prime fishing time in my neck of the woods and I was wondering if I should give up for the season or I try something easy before mothballing her. The water jacket should be a quickie to check. It ran really good before adding parts and test running. The more I did the worse it got. Especially after I replaced the thermostat. Fingers crossed I have a bad gasket.
