We are having trouble getting parts because the serial number is a Canadian number 703884 and all the American sites are asking for an 8 digit number. We would like to know where these motors were made in Canada and how can we find parts. we are looking for a fuel pump. Eric

we checked it out again and the serial number is only 6 digits 1979 Model#402 Mercury 40 HP Outboard Motor

Serial number: 703884
