I've bought a cheapo 4 hp Crescent outboard from goodness knows when. I know, I know, good anchor jokes etc! 
It's just a bit of fun. Anyways, I've found conflicting info about what kind of oil to use given that it's a prehistoric air-cooled outboard. I've googled and googled but really can't find a definitive answer- only specific I found was a few ancient 4% references and someone recommending garden machinery oil over normal marine. Kust wondered if anyone had any info or alternatively original thoughts on what to try in terms of ratio and type. the guy I bought it off used marine and 40-1, but I can't see how normal two stroke oil will be appropriate for an air-cooled engine. Has to be said I'm not the best engineer in the world though! Any other tips with this beast much appreciated!
