cooling water got sucked in thru intake. vent the # 3 rod.
this is TDC for # 3 piston.
cooling water was leaking thru one of anode cap.
the estimate for this job ...$ 3500 - 4000
the short block costs 2500 .gasket set app 200 ..head and valve job
etc...labor ...

Wow! sorry about your misfortune & thank you for the heads up. where is the anode cap you are referring to? Under anode w/fin? I have a '05 BF40A-Thanx
