Got a 2006 40 hp EFI 4 stroke, original owner.
Ran the boat this past weekend, and gas was flowing out the overflow from the VST, almost as much as going through the VST. Hand pump the squeeze bulb and get gas out the overflow. Engine runs great, doesn't appear to be any issues, just getting large amount through the overflow.
I figure its the pressure valve, but looking at my VST and the pretty picture in the manual... they do not appear to be the same. My VST top cover is solid, no exterior pressure valve like in the manual.
Did the factory switch things or do I have an anomaly.... and is my theory regarding the pressure valve correct?
